BARCELONA – PENEDES – PRIORAT (160 Km Approx.)
Today, after breakfast, transfer to the rental car office to pick up your rental car. After picking it up, you will head South to the Priorat wine region.
On the way, you will make a halt in Penedes wine area, where you will have a private visit to a centenary winery (Freixenet) to get to know the process of cava production, the most popular sparkling wine in Spain. Cava tasting is included.
After the visit, you will continue your drive to the Priorat wine area. Upon arrival, check in a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of the Priorat.
PRIORAT – ALQUEZAR / SOMONTANO (193 Km Approx)
Today morning, our local guide will take you to discover Priorat wine area: wineries, vineyards, wine tasting, little charming villages... In the late afternoon, you will drive to Somontano wine area.
Upon arrival in the Medieval village of Alquezar, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, you will check in a boutique hotel full of character.
At night, you can’t miss a walk back in time around the streets of this village and a great dinner in one of the restaurants with views to the gorge.
Today, our local guide will pick you up for a private tour around the wineries of Somontano wine region, which is located below the Pyrenees. Here you will be able to visit impressive wineries such as Sommos. This winery has a stunning architecture which makes it become one of its kind worldwide. Its facilities 27 metres underground create the perfect atmosphere for wine production under natural conditions.
Here you will also be able to visit some of the most traditional or family-run wineries and talk to the owner, where you will learn about traditional winemaking processes and “handcrafted” wine .
As you can see, innovation and tradition merge in this area.
SOMONTANO - SAN SEBASTIAN (296 Km Approx.)
Today, after breakfast, you will start driving towards San Sebastian.
On your way, there are many interesting places which are worth a stop:
Loarre Castle, one of the best preserved Medieval castles and a jewels of Romanesque architecture in Spain. Leyre Monastery: one of the most important monuments in Navarra located in a great natural surrounding.
The heritage city of Pamplona is on your way to San Sebastian. It is a good place for local wine and tasty “pintxos” (how locals refer to typical Spanish “tapas”).
Upon arrival in San Sebastian, hotel check-in and free time to start exploring the city of San Sebastian at your own pace.
A good way to get immersed in the culture of the city is to explore Fermín Calbertón Street, which is known as the street with more “pintxos” (tapas) bars per squared meter.
Today, as you are in the paradise of food, today you could be enjoying one of the following food-related experiences: cooking workshop in the old quarter of San Sebastian including a visit to the market and lunch, guided tour combining culture & gastronomy, lunch or dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Rest of the day, free time to enjoy this elegant city, his bay and Igueldo mountain.
SAN SEBASTIAN – TXACOLI WINERY – LA RIOJA (175 - 200 Km Approx)
Today, before heading to La Rioja, you will have a drive along the Basque Coast, where you will discover stunning landscapes where mountains merge with the seal as well as traditional fishing villages where you will be able to eat the finest fish in Spain. Here, we will include a visit to a winery of local wine: “txacoli wine”.
After lunch, drive to La Rioja. Upon arrival, hotel check-in.
LA RIOJA WINE AREA
Today, our local guide will show you the most renowned wine region in Spain, whose existence is fully linked to winemaking. You will visit the vineyards, some of the emblematic wineries (Marques de Riscal, Marqués de Murrieta, Cvne, López de Heredia, Muga…) and some of the least known places in this region.
Depending on the time of the year when you are travelling, a picnic in the vineyards could be arranged.
LA RIOJA – RIBERA DEL DUERO (237 Km Approx.)
Today, you will drive to Ribera del Duero wine area. On the way, you can’t miss a halt in Burgos, where you will be able to admire its incredible Gothic cathedral, which is probably the masterpiece of Gothic architecture in Spain.
