Get ready to go in depth into a local insight of the South of Spain.

Day 1

Welcome to Spain! Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel in Malaga city center and check-in.

Free time to start exploring this beautiful Mediterranean city at your own pace. Malaga has a great and varied monumental heritage ranging from the Christian cathedral to the Muslim fortress or the Roman theatre. If you like art, you could also spend some time discovering the great artistic offer of the city: home and museum of Picasso, Pompidou center, Thyssen-Bornemisza museum...

Day 2

Today early morning, transfer to the rental car office to pick up your car and drive to the Alpujarra region. The road along the coast is our suggestion, as it will allow you to make a halt in some of the charming seaside villages of the coast such as Almuñecar or Nerja. The Alpujarra region is well known for the beauty and peacefulness of its white towns and landscapes. Seemingly untouched by the passage of time, this ancient province was the last stronghold of the Moors, whose intricate irrigation and terracing systems still shape the land to this day. Complemented by the distinct character of the region (which extends to the architecture and even the chimneys), the variety of the scenery is astonishing (so much so that you never know what lies around the next bend), ranging from steep-sided gorges to orange groves, and from bubbling streams to Mediterranean landscapes dotted with cacti. It is designated a Global Reserve by UNESCO, as well as a National Park and a Nature Reserve. In this unique region, you will enjoy a guided trekking experience through varied terrain with spectacular views throughout and villages untouched by massive tourism. Just some lucky people like you reach tis place. Today, you will be accommodated in a charming country inn.

Day 3

In the morning, you will continue your drive to the heritage city of Granada. Upon arrival, hotel check-in.

In the afternoon, you will have a guided tour of Albayzin and Sacromonte quarters, the most traditional neighborhoods in Granada. You will walk around the labyrinth of cobbled streets, where you will hear about stories and legends of Moors and Gypsies. You will come across white washed houses, gardens and little squares full of life: bars and restaurants, tea shops, street performers...And above all, you will enjoy the greatest views of the Alhambra Palace.

After the tour, you will attend a flamenco performance at one of the gypsies’ caves in Sacromonte quarter

Day 4

Today morning, after breakfast, guided tour of the jewel of Moorish architecture and the most visited monument in Spain: the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. The Alhambra was originally created for military purposes, but it became a residence of kings. It was a fortress, a palace, Arab, Christian...all these features explain many distinctive features of this impressive World Heritage Site, which, as a historic monument, is unlikely to be surpassed. This place where fountains trickle, leaves rustle, and ancient spirits seem to mysteriously linger, enchants all expectant visitors.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a unique experience: a flamenco workshop where you will learn the basics of this traditional dance.

Tonight, you can’t miss a dinner at one of the restaurants in Albayzin quarter with views to the Alhambra Palace.

Day 5

Today, after breakfast, you will drive to your next destination: Cordoba. Upon arrival, hotel check-in.

Cordoba is a faithful reflection of the powerful civilizations that have settled there. Romans, Moors, Jews and Christians have all left a deep mark on its heritage, culture, traditions and customs. For this reason, the old part of the city is World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, our local guide will pick you up at your hotel for a private guided tour of the most emblematic sites of the city: the Mosque, one of the jewels of Moorish architecture in Spain, the Royal Alcazar, the Jewish quarter...among others.

In the evening, you will attend a horse show at the Royal Stables. Did you know that Andalucian horses can dance?

Day 6

Today morning, you will drive to Seville. Upon arrival, hotel check-in. In the afternoon, free time to start exploring this vibrant and colourful city on your own. Seville is much more than sights. Seville means charm, lively streets, lovely atmosphere, cheerful people...

A ride in one of the traditional horse buggies in the city is a must in order to see all this.
In the evening, you will enjoy one of the activities that we locals like the most: “tapas”. You will hop from tavern to tavern tasting their specialties on these little Spanish snacks while you learn about gastronomy, traditions and culture of the city and its people.

Day 7

Today, guided tour of the vibrant city of Seville and its main monuments: Jewish quarter, Royal Alcazar, Cathedral and Giralda Tower, Spain Square…

In the afternoon, free time to keep enjoying the city at your own pace.

Day 8

Today morning, you will continue your drive to Cadiz, considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe. It has a laid-back vibe, excellent seafood and atmospheric streets bathed in intense sunlight. Being the major receiving port for the riches of the Spanish empire by the 18th century is still reflected in its streets. Upon arrival, hotel check-in.

After hotel check-in, you can start discovering the old part of the city and the bay.
In the evening, you can sit on the terrace of one of the bars and enjoy tapas or a drink while you admire the sunset on the bay...

Day 9

Today morning, you will continue your drive to the charming village of Vejer de la Frontera.

Instead of driving inland, it would be advisable that you take the coastal road, starting from Cadiz and going down along the Costa de la Luz and its small coastal villages such as Chiclana de la Frontera, Conil de la Frontera, Los Caños de Meca, Barbate, Zahara de los Atunes…Just 9 kms before reaching Vejer de la Frontera, you will find one of the best beaches in the area (large and virgin beach): Playa El Palmar.

Once you reach the charming village of Vejer de la Frontera, it is really worth to spend some time wandering around its charming streets. You can’t miss its Jewish quarter, its castle, its Spain Square, the views from the upper part (castle) and its windmills.

Day 10

Today, after breakfast, you will drive to Ronda. On the way, you will go across the Andalucian countryside and will see typical farmlands where bullfighting bulls are bred in the grazing lands. You will also go across Grazalema mountains and its typical white villages such as for example Arcos de la Frontera.

Upon arrival in Ronda, hotel check-in.

Ronda is a small Medieval village located on top of an impressive gorge. It is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. My suggestion is that you have dinner in one of the restaurants with views to the gorge and the surrounding natural landscape.

Day 11

Today, after breakfast, drive back to Malaga. On the way, you will stop in the Grazalema region for a guided hiking experience along the “Caminito del Rey” path, which is a narrow path on top of a gorge. It used to be considered as the most dangerous path in the world, but it has been recently rebuilt with walkways and fences which make it completely safe and provide with stunning views and a one-of-a-kind trekking experience.

Upon arrival in Malaga, hotel check-in.

Day 12

At the appointed time, you will drive to Malaga airport, drop off your rental car and take your flight back home.
