Costa Brava (“Wild Coast”) is located in the north of Barcelona and it is one of the most beautiful coastlines of Spain. It will take your breath away with the beauty of its superb beaches and heavenly coves nestled among cliffs and sprinkled by coastal charming villages (Calella de Palafrugell, Begur…) and inland Medieval villages (Besalú, Pals…), which will make you travel back in time.

Nature plays a starring role in the form of natural parks (Cap de Creus, the Medes Islands …), areas of great biological importance.

Here, you will also be able to uncover the life and works of Dali, who was born in Figueres, where his museum is located, and found his inspiration in the beautiful village of Cadaques, where he used to live with his muse Gala.

In Costa Brava, you will also have a great local approach to cheese, wine and olive oil producers, fishermen and the fish market…but also have a dose of adventure by kayaking, sailing, hiking along the coastal paths…and of course, relax by the gorgeous pristine coves!!!

Girona:

Close to Costa Brava, you will also be able to visit the city of Girona, which recently became popular for being one of the filming locations of Game of Thrones. This city boasts medieval walls, narrow winding streets, and is home to one of the best preserved Jewish quarter in Europe.

For one week in May, during the Temps de Flors festival, the city becomes even more beautiful, since the colours and scents of thousands of flowers fill its squares and streets.

Girona could be a perfect day trip from Barcelona, or the beginning of a few days in Costa Brava.
